Younger brother to Ehime Mbano born billionaire Tony Chukwu, and General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA), Francis Chukwu, has been reportedly removed.
Reports has it that Chukwu was swapped to the office of the ENTRACO, Environmental Transformation Commission, and the General Manager of the latter, Frank Nkem, appointed the General Manager of OCDA.
Frank Nkem, according to reports, has officially assumed duty as the new General Manager of OCDA, as Francis Chukwu would replace him as the ENTRACO GM.
But contacted by reporters, Eberechukwu Okechukwu, the Media Aide to the former OCDA boss, he said the news was not yet official because his principal was yet to hear from the Governor on the true position of his office.
He however admitted that since the news had started flying, it may not be anyway far from the truth but would promptly revert to us once it is made official.
Chukwu however in a letter addressed to the Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, confimed the change of leadership at OCDA.
The letter reads:
PROFOUND GRATITUDE TO THE EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF IMO STATE HIS EXCELLENCY DISTINGUISHED SENATOR HOPE UZODIMMA FOR THE RARE PREVILEGE AND UNCOMMON OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE AS SA/GENERAL MANAGER OF OWERRI CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (OCDA).
May I use this medium to state that following the latest development in which it pleased His Excellency the Executive Governor of Imo State Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma to approve a change in the leadership of Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) which is the Imo State Government Development Control Agency, a worthwhile and eventful episode has come to an end at the Agency.
Utmostly, I wish to return all glory, honour, majesty, magnificience and adoration to our all sufficient Heavenly Father for good health, sound body and mind as well as enabling grace to be able to serve within the era.
Essentially, my sincerest gratitude goes to the Executive Governor of Imo State His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma who in his meekness, large heart and outstanding goodwill found me worthy to serve Imolites under his Shared Prosperity Government anchored on the 3R mantra of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Recovery, as the Special Adviser to the Governor and General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA).
In all honestly, I never expected it when His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma in his magnanimity and youth friendly disposition considered and appointed my humble self to serve in the capacity of the Special Adviser to the Governor and General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority which came after I had served as the Special Adviser to Governor on Project Monitoring Okigwe Zone. I will remain ever so grateful to Your Excellency Sir for the confidence reposed in me that made Your Excellency Sir, to appoint me in these capacities.
Indeed, much as the office of the SA/General Manager of Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) remains a very demanding one, it is germane to note that the episode was a remarkable experience as my team and I tried our best to contribute our quota in assisting our dear Governor His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma in his relentless efforts and avowed determination to bequeath the State with wonderful legacies both in infrastructure and Human Capital. To the Glory of God Almighty, my team and I recorded many notable achievements at the Agency as we tried our best to make it much better than we met it by among other things, ensuring the sanitization and restoration of public confidence in the activities of Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) which was the mandate given to me by His Excellency upon my appointment as the SA to the Governor and General Manager of the Agency.
In a very special way, may I also use this medium in humility to render an unreserved apology to anyone or group that my actions and in actions did not go down well with in the course of my official assignment. The actions I took were never targeted at anyone but came as a result of the demands of the office in order to enforce the Master plan of Owerri the State Capital as well as to generate revenue for Government in the overall bid to ensure the development of the State by His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma.
Finally, while I time and again affirm my unalloyed loyalty, unshakable dedication and unflinching support to the Shared Prosperity Administration of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma anchored on the 3R policy thrust of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Recovery, I pledge to continue to do all within my capacity to ensure its resounding success in all ramifications.
