The aide who refused to have his name mentioned, dismissed claims that Ihedioha was about to leave the party for the All Progressives Congress APC.
Following the massive exodus of party chieftains from the PDP into the APC, including some close associates of Ihedioha, there were speculations that Ihedioha was also on his way out.
"Yes," the aide said. "Ihedioha have not been treated fairly by the PDP, a party he sacrificed so much, even his Governorship for. Imagine if he had dumped the PDP in 2019 before the Supreme Court ruling, maybe he would still be in power today.
"But he took that bullet for PDP and look at how he's being rewarded.
"Ihedioha is not afraid of a fair contest but when the odds are stacked the way it was stacked against him, when he was positioned to lose in a disgraceful manner, he did the next best thing.
"But it's well, but bear this in mind that Ihedioha remains PDP and PDP remains Ihedioha. He is not going anywhere. He will remain in the PDP and give the same support to our candidate as we also got from him."
Recall that Ihedioha threw in the towel, despite declaring interest in contesting the Governorship primary of the party, giving Samdaddy a lone ride to the party's ticket.
